COMMUNITY LINKS BULLETIN
May to June 2009

Dear Friends,

I’m pleased to present to you the latest issue of the Community Links Bulletin. I really appreciate your feedbacks and submissions for inclusion in our Community Links Bulletin – please keep it coming as I learn so much from it, and it helps me represent our community in Ottawa.

East Van is a terrific place. There is so much happening in our community – people and activities we can all be proud of – and motivated by. I want to give special mention to 4 amazing young people – Keegan Balcom, Gopinath Supramaniam, Ashkan Azizi and Stewart Lee who are participating in a 2-day cycling trip to Seattle to raise funds for cancer research. I wish them the best of luck in their endeavour.

On June 20, they will be embarking on a 2-day cycling trip from Vancouver to Seattle. They are joining many others in the ride to "Conquer Cancer". All funds raised will go directly to research and enhancement of care with the BC Cancer Foundation. If you are interested to donate or participate in any of their fundraising activities, please visit their website at www.conquercancer.ca/goto/KeeganBalcom or email Keegan at thelxepeia_123@hotmail.com.

Thank you to all who make East Van so special.
