Canada's Medical Marijuana Program Needs Reform
Dear Friends,
As you may already know, major problems have become apparent regarding the accessibility and administration of Canada's medical marijuana program. I recently wrote a letter to the Minister of Health urging a public review of the program.
Currently, I'm also investigating the possibility of introducing private member's legislation to address the problems identified in the letter. Canada urgently needs better programs and legal protections for the many the critically and chronically ill patients who can benefit from the use of cannabis.
Sincerely,
Libby

Medicinal Cannabis
The day we get over using the Spanish American colloquialism 'marijuana', we will move forward to the next level of understanding and education. Classic examples of failure using the girls name 'marijuana' in politics and education are, the federal 'marijuana' party and the provincial 'marijuana' party. Where are they now? Why would any one in Canada use a Spanish American colloquialism in the name of a plitical party? Were they "too high"? Back to medicinal Cannabis. We use the botalically correct treminology, Cannabis.

Drugs
I really like Libby Davies. I'm new here in Vancouver East, but then I can see the problems going on. Using canabis is really bad and many Canadian citizens are quite aware of what's happening around them. Those addicts near downtown scares a lot of people. It's really inconvenient.
Reviewing Canada's Marijuana Laws vs. Harpers Policy on Crime
Dear Ms. Davies,
Perhaps it can be pointed out to Steven Harper that he isn't at all tough on organized crime. In fact, his governments plans to keep marijuana illegal amount to a multi-billion dollar tax free subsidy to organized crime. This tax free subsidy of billions of dollars to organized crime will persist year after year under Harpers policies. His parties prohibitionist policies make him likely to be the best friend to organized crime this country has.
Its time to get really tough on organized crime. Legalize marijuana, tax the hell out of it, and put the proceeds into resourcing our police forces to keep our communities safe and into treatment and prevention progams for people who are at risk or suffering from addictions and mental health issues.
In a Canada without prohibition the most Canadians should hear from a hell's angel or a similar member of an organized crime group is: "Would you like fries with that?".
hm...
Not sure where you get your research from... but I have a few friends that are Hells Angels and they certainly don't focus on selling Marijuana. That's not where the big money is.... surprise? I should hope that doesn't surprise you.
